How would we start?
The first time we meet is an introductory session, and that is free. This first appointment provides the opportunity for you to talk a little about what has brought you to therapy, and to ask as many questions as you might need. This lasts about 45 minutes, and after that I usually suggest that we both take the chance to reflect a bit on how we feel about working together. When we both feel it's right, we arrange a mutually suitable time for weekly, hour-long sessions. I usually suggest that we agree to meet for somewhere between six and ten sessions before taking an opportunity to review progress.
How much does it cost?
After the free introductionary session I charge £25 per session.
I lwork from my house near Sladesbridge, just down the road from Wadebridge. There is a link to a map on the right. There is ample free parking right outside.
What happens if I have to cancel?
I ask for a minimum of 48 hours notice if you need to cancel a session. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will need to be paid for at the full rate, unless you are too ill to attend. It may be possible to rearrange a session for another day / time in the same week.
What about confidentiality?
Therapy rests upon confidentiality and trust. Everything you say in therapy remains confidential, and I adhere to the UKCP Code of Ethics. I make notes of sessions; these are entirely for my use alone, and you may see them if you wish.
